The Stone
The
Stone, Acrylic Painting on Canvas, 40x40
inches, 2012
I
needed pink. This harsh canvas, ripped and torn, I textured with spontaneous
lines to invoke a natural energy—roots and branches. The present is too boring without memory, so
I pulled this pink lace/flower/island/house from my memory and made a stepping
stone. As a child, I walked to a stream.
I didn’t want to get wet, so I used a stepping stone. This is my
romance. This is my memory.
